We hope you’ve enjoyed our previous posts and reading about William Gee’s history. We love connecting with our customers and sharing topics we think you’ll find interesting.
We’re excited to let you know we’re launching our new online sewing workshop: William Gee Studio. It’ll be full of fun and useful ideas to inspire your crafting and sewing projects. Our dream is for this to be a go-to sewing resource for you, just as our haberdashery has been to our community for years.
Meet Lorna – William Gee’s new blogger
I’m Lorna – a writer and a passionate sewist. I’ve been making things since I can remember, but several years ago decided to start sewing my own wardrobe. Sewing is now a way of life for me, and I love learning new skills and working with different fabrics.
I think one of the best things about sewing is you can create something completely unique. It’s thrilling to imagine something you could make and then see it come to life. I love connecting with others who feel the same way.
I’m so excited to be working on this online workshop with William Gee – a company with 116 years of haberdashery experience and a mainstay of the Hackney community.
What do you have planned for the workshop?
We’ll be posting lots of useful tips and tricks, along with tutorials and pieces on the latest sewing trends. We can’t wait to share all of this with you, in the way we have with our local customers for years. We’ll be covering a range of hobbies and topics, so there should be something for everyone – whether you’re a beginner or experienced sewist. We hope you enjoy reading our posts as much as we enjoy making them!
