Tilly Walnes
Tilly has been super successful since the sewing bee, having launched a pattern business and published books. Tillys mission is to make dressmaking accessible for everyone – Her tutorials are written in a friendly, easy to follow manner. And her patterns are often customizable, with different sleeve and length options. She also likes to post interesting pattern hacks on her blog. I particularly love her Pinterest feed, as she regularly shares photographs of peoples finished garments – so we can all be inspired by fabric choices and design options!

Chinelo Bally
If you watched the Sewing Bee in 2014, you’ll remember the awesome freehand pattern cutting skills of Chinelo Bally. I dont know how she does it! She just whips out a measuring tape and then cuts into fabric, and somehow it all just works! Chinelo is teaching, as well as making custom garments for lots of people – i’ve linked you to her instagram feed because she is always posting amazing dresses she has made and mastered, for people of all shapes and sizes! She is also launching a book, which looks like we could all be learning her amazing freehand skills in no time 🙂
