As we come to the end of the year, all that remains is to thank you for your support and custom throughout 2024.
Christmas Opening Hours & Final Orders
Our shop on Kingsland Road will close 4pm on Mon 23rd Dec 2024 & will reopen 9am on Thurs 2nd Jan 2025.
Final orders for the year will be despatched on Mon 23rd Dec 2024. During the festive break, online orders can be made but will only be despatched from Thurs 2nd January 2025.
This year, our staff worked tirelessly (I cannot stress that enough) despatching your orders, with over 90% of online tracked orders delivered within 1 working day – so you in turn could continue to operate as smoothly as possible.
There were growing demands for new crafting & sewing products, and we added many new supplies to our range – both online and in-store – and we hope that we can continue to supply fantastic dressmaking products for you in 2024.
We know many of you are embracing sustainable products and methods. To this end we now only use paper bags, and our packaging uses recycled cartons where possible, and we are constantly aiming to
New products in 2024 included Automatic Bobbin Winders, Polycotton Webbings, Non-Slip Elastics, Carbon Black Scissors, Patternmaster Pros, Underlay Paper, The College Kit, L Squares and Velvet Ribbons, as well as branded products from the likes of Prym, Vilene’s Interfacings and Fiskar’s cutting tools.
We continued developing our website, improved our mobile & checkout processes and launched our new online sewing workshop: William Gee Studio, full of tips, tutorials & useful ideas to inspire your crafting and sewing projects.
The biggest achievement this year was our continued promise to keep prices down. There were price increases across all industries this year – due to factors outside our control such as the war in Russia, expensive freight and production surcharges, however we did everything we possibly could to ensure increases were kept to a minimum, whilst not compromising on service. Speaking of which, we managed to keep to a next-day delivery service for 97% of our orders, which we’re extremely proud of!
