As we come to the end of the year, all that remains is to thank you for your support and custom throughout 2023.
Christmas Opening Hours & Final Orders
Our shop on Kingsland Road will close 2pm on Fri 22nd Dec 2022 & will reopen 9am on Tues 2nd Jan 2024.
Final orders for the year will be despatched on 22nd December, and we will be delivering in the London area until 22nd December.
PLEASE NOTE: During the festive break, online orders can be made but will only be despatched from Tuesday 2nd January 2024.
This year, we worked tirelessly (I cannot stress that enough!) despatching your orders, with over 90% of online orders delivered within 1 working day – so you in turn could continue to operate as smoothly as possible.
There were growing demands for new crafting & sewing products, and we added many new supplies to our range – both online and in-store – and we hope that we can continue to supply fantastic products for you at competitive prices in 2023.
New products included our very own Tulipwood Tailor’s Clapper and a new eco-friendly sewing range as we know many of you are embracing sustainable products and methods. To this end we have ended our use of plastic bags and now only use paper bags, and our packaging uses recycled cartons where possible.
New products in 2023 included Automatic Bobbin Winders, Polycotton Webbings, Non-Slip Elastic, Carbon Black Scissors, Patternmaster Pro, Underlay Paper, The College Kit, L Squares and Velvet Ribbons, as well as branded products from the likes of Prym, Vilene’s Interfacings and Fiskar’s cutting tools.
We continued developing our website, improved our checkout process and launched our new online sewing workshop: William Gee Studio, full of tips, tutorials & useful ideas to inspire your crafting and sewing projects.
Our loyalty points scheme is working well, and customers are instantly rewarded for shopping with us online. It’s a great way to save on your bill if you plan on shopping with us regularly.
The biggest achievement this year was our continued promise to keep prices down. There were price increases across all industries this year – due to the war in Russia and expensive freight and production surcharges, however we did everything we possibly could to ensure your costs were as low as possible, whilst not compromising on service. Speaking of which, we managed to keep to a next-day delivery service for 96% of our orders, which we are extremely proud of!
